Wherever jazz is, I is. Bebop's my home. I don’t know if you know this about me; but I’m a bit of a jazz enthusiast.
Which makes the upcoming Melbourne International Jazz Festival a pretty exciting event for me. May 30th until June 8th the city will be filled with top jazz musicians from around the world playing in venues ranging from small clubs, to concert halls.
There are around 100 acts all in all at this year’s festival. The Charles Lloyd Sky Trio is the first act to kick off the festival on 30th May. Performing at the Melbourne Recital Centre, you won’t want to miss this show.
Other impressive acts performing at this year’s festival include:
- Davi sings Sinatra
- Joshua Redman Quartet
- Chick Corea & Gary Burten duets
- Larry Carlton Quartet
- Jorge Pardo Huelles
